I’m thrilled to be in the front row and have the back-end (event staff) view of the International Cybersecurity Championship and Conference (#IC3games) right here in the US, led by the brilliant Commissioner of the US team, Jessica Gulick.
This ain’t your typical show; it’s an epic clash of seven top-notch teams, led by some seriously passionate leaders. They’ve battled it out, hustling hard to grab their spots in the finals. The journey has been intense, with qualifying rounds held in different regions. It’s not just about the finalists; everyone who participated deserves a round of applause for showing off their skills and determination.
I was only going to post a recap after the event but something happened on Day 0 that blew my mind. The African Region to The International Cybersecurity Challenge (AFRICC) hit a bump—could only bring 3 of their cyber athletes. But here’s where the magic kicked in! Jury and Coaches came together and four other teams stepped up, showing some next-level sportsmanship by bringing in substitutes to form the full team! No language barriers, no cultural walls, just one united crew.
This moment of unity goes beyond the scoreboards. It’s like witnessing the true spirit of collaboration in action. It proves that competitions like #ic3games2023 can be more than just a fierce battle for the trophy; it’s about forging connections that span the globe.
As I sit here, front row with a back-end view, I can’t help but cheer for each and every one of them. Let’s celebrate their brilliance and this incredible camaraderie, ’cause this championship is not just about the win—it’s about the power of coming
together. #cybersecurity #teamwork#championship #playcyber
